FANS are convinced Conor McGregor is set for a £1.9billion UFC 306 superfight in the £1.9billion Las Vegas Sphere after a hint from Dana White.
The MMA chief has confirmed that Sin City’s incredible new arena will host the upcoming event on September 14.
And it could finally mark the long-awaited return of Irish fighter McGregor.
He hasn’t fought since losing to Dustin Poirier in July 2021.
McGregor has been in talks with White about a comeback clash for the past month.
And it was hoped he would return to the octagon at UFC 300 on April 13.
White has since undermined McGregor’s chances of appearing at the historic event.
But he hinted that Notorious will likely fight again this year, most likely in the fall.
He told the Jim Rome Show: “Conor will fight this year, I think in the fall, sometime in the fall. He doesn’t reach 300.”
Fans took White’s words as a suggestion that McGregor will indeed headline the Las Vegas Sphere in September.

The incredible arena opened just six months ago after a four-year construction plan costing £1.9 billion.
It has since hosted the residency of Irish rockers U2, but will soon host other music and sporting events.
And UFC supporters are hoping for an epic third clash between McGregor and old foe Nate Diaz.
One fan said: “McGregor vs Diaz 3 in the Sphere hopefully!”
Another stated: “McGregor vs. Diaz announcement would destroy MMA Twitter.”
One added: “McGregor vs Diaz for 306? That would be much better than Chandler versus McGregor.”
