The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the 19th edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) on July 7, 2024

CTET July 2024 Notice: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the 19th edition of the programme Central Eligibility Test for Teachers (CTET) on July 7, 2024. The test will be administered in twenty languages ​​in 136 cities across the country. CBSE has started the CTET registration process; candidates can fill it out CTET Application Form at https://ctet.nic.in/. The last date for submitting the online application form is April 2, 2024. Each candidate has to pay a certain amount of application fee. Talking about CTET, let us inform you that General/OBC(NCL) has to pay Rs Rs.1000 (Paper I or II only). If a candidate opts for both papers, he/she has to pay Rs.1200.

CTET July 2024 Registration: Check CBSE CTET Eligibility Criteria

The minimum qualifications for appearing in the CTET are as specified by NCTE. The candidates are advised to visit the NCTE website to check their eligibility. The minimum qualifications for teaching staff shall be in accordance with the following:

  • National Council for Teacher Education (Determination of minimum qualifications for persons to be employed as teachers of education and teachers of physical education in pre-primary, primary, upper primary, secondary, upper secondary or secondary schools or colleges) Regulations as amended and published from time to time.
  • Minimum qualifications laid down in the teacher recruitment rules of the competent authority where the school is established or the teacher recruitment rules of KendriyaVidyalaya Sangthan or Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti.
  • The candidate must ensure his/her eligibility before applying and is personally responsible in case he/she is not eligible to apply as per the given eligibility criteria. It is to be noted that if a candidate has been admitted for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test, it does not mean that the candidate’s eligibility has been verified. It does not grant the candidate any right to appointment. Eligibility will be ultimately verified by the concerned recruitment agency/appointing authority.
  • Note: As reported by NCTE, relaxation up to 5% of qualifying marks in the minimum educational qualification for eligibility has been allowed to candidates belonging to reserved categories such as SC/ST/OBC/Disabled.
