Schools in Delhi to resume physical classes at regular intervals from today; Be careful inside

Following an improvement in weather conditions in the national capital, the Education Department has directed all government, government-aided and private schools to resume physical classes at their usual timings from today, February 6, 2024.

Schools in Delhi will resume their physical classes according to their regular times from Tuesday, February 6, 2024. Following improvement in weather conditions in the national capital, the Education Department has directed all government, government-aided and private schools to resume physical classes at their usual timings from today, February 6, 2024. “In view of the improved weather conditions in Delhi, all government, government-aided and recognized private schools of Delhi will resume their normal timings from 06.02.2024 (Tuesday),” reads an order from the Delhi Education Directorate.

The order directed the principals to inform students, parents and staff about the change in timings well in advance through appropriate means of communication. Check out the official message below:-

In January 2024, the education department rescheduled school timings in response to significant foggy conditions in the national capital. Schools in Delhi started classes from 9 am due to the cold weather conditions. Moreover, DoE had also directed schools not to conduct classes after 5 p.m.

Delhi weather update

Earlier on Monday, the national capital recorded a minimum temperature of 11.9 degrees Celsius, three notches above the seasonal average. The maximum temperature was measured at 20.3 degrees Celsius, two steps above normal. The weather bureau has forecast dense fog on Tuesday, with maximum and minimum temperatures expected to reach 22 degrees Celsius and nine degrees respectively.
