A desperate search has been launched for two sisters after they mysteriously disappeared, with police and family deeply concerned for their welfare.

Amber Bagust-King, 14, and her sister Laura Bagust-King, 13, were last seen at a house on Luxford Road, Tregear in Sydney’s west, about 1.30pm on Tuesday.

The pair were reported missing after failing to return home and Mount Druitt Police Area Command launched an investigation to locate the sisters.

Amber is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 165-170cm tall, thin build, fair complexion, with shoulder length brown hair.

She was last seen wearing a black shirt and long black skirt.

Laura is described as being of white appearance, 165-170 cm tall, of thin build, fair complexion, with shoulder-length brown hair below her shoulders.
