Disney+ has released an exciting new trailer for the third and final season of Star Wars: The Bad Batch, which hits the streaming giant on February 21.

The critically acclaimed animated series is a sequel to the Emmy-winning Star Wars: The Clones Wars.

The show follows a team of renegade clone troopers who become a mercenary group called the Bad Batch during the rise of the Galactic Empire.

The exciting epic conclusion of the series, consisting of 15 episodes, follows the Batch as their limits are tested in the battle to reunite with their ally Omega, who faces her own challenges in a remote Imperial science laboratory.

As the group falls apart and faces threats from all sides, they will have to find unexpected allies, undertake dangerous missions, and gather everything they have learned to free themselves from the Empire.

Created by Ahsoka creator Dave Filoni, Star Wars: The Bad Batch is set between the Star Wars films Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and Episode IV: A New Hope, and provides background on the state of the Galaxy Far Far Away in the 20 years between these films.

The show features a talented voice cast, including Dee Bradley Baker, who voices all the clones, and Fear the Walking Dead's Michelle Ang, who voices Omega.

Kiwi Whale Rider star Keisha Castle-Hughes also stars as Emerie Karr, a female clone of famed bounty hunter Jango Fett.

Wanda Sykes also lends her voice to the character of Phee Genoa, a pirate with a fondness for one of the members of the Batch.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch is executive produced by Dave Filoni, Athena Portillo, Brad Rau, Jennifer Corbett and Carrie Beck, all of whom previously worked on various Star Wars properties.

Josh Rimes is co-executive producer and Alex Spotswood is senior producer.

Rau also serves as supervising director with Corbett as head writer.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch debuts with the first three episodes on Wednesday, February 21, exclusively on Disney+.
