I always buy Dollar Tree cleaning supplies, there is an item that costs $10 at Target

One woman's shopping skills came in handy as she shared her favorite cleaning products, and the ones you shouldn't spend your money on.

She said there's a must-have at Dollar Tree that will keep the bathroom in your house from smelling terribly.

Self-proclaimed “Shopping Queen” Melissa Houser (@mhouser12) knows how to work with a limited budget.

She visited her local Dollar Tree to restock cleaning supplies and revealed in a TikTok video items that are “worth the hype” and the things she would skip on her next trek.

First, she said that every time she goes into the store, she buys Lysol Hygienic Automatic Toilet Bowl Cleaners, $1.25.

“They make your bathroom smell great and not like a turd dungeon,” she said.

She said a Brillo Dish Spray, $1.25, is a dupe for the power washing spray they have, and “it's great.”

Of all the dishwashing soaps in the store, she buys the Palmolive Oxy Power Degreaser Dish Liquid, $1.25, every time because it “smells great” and “works great.”

She was unimpressed with the Arm & Hammer Garbage Disposal Cleaner, $1.25, because it “smelled so bad” and she had to throw it away immediately.

Melissa also buys Fabuluso Cleaner every time she is at the chain store.

“I throw some in my shower, in the sink and in the back of the toilet. It smells amazing,” she said.

While shopping, she came across a Dapple brand Playroom and Highchair Disinfectant Spray, which normally costs more than $10 at Target.

“It's great for cleaning and disinfecting children's rooms,” she added.

Melissa also said that the small packs of Clorox wipes are always great to keep in your car.

Another item she would “skip” are the Dryer Soft Ultra Laundry Pacs, $1.25, because not only are they small, but they also “don't leave a very good scent.”

For dryer sheets, she usually always chooses Bounce, the Dryer Soft Fresh Linen or the Gain brand.

When it comes to scents, there is one scent that sticks with her and that is the wall scent Amber Woods, comparable to Air Wick.

“These scented pods are good to place next to a litter box or a high-traffic scented area,” she suggested.

Viewers were big fans of her fiscally responsible shopping methods and appreciated the cleaning tips.

“For the past year since inflation, I have been going to Dollar Tree for all my cleaning supplies and toiletries,” one person said.
