The 2023 Emmy Awards were all about TV reunions, including the cast of Grey's anatomy And cheersbig wins and moving speeches – but not all of the evening's top moments made it onto the air.
The 75th Primetime Emmys were presented by Anthony Andersonwho enlisted his mother, Doris Hancox, to ensure that all winners stayed on task. At each award there was applause from the audience, with The bear And Succession clean up and steal the show. Both series took home six trophies, including the night's top honors, Outstanding Comedy Series and Outstanding Drama Series, respectively.
“My parents are here tonight.” Ayo Edebiri said as she accepted her award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. 'I let them sit a little far away from me because I'm a bad child. But I love you guys so much.”
Kieran Culkinmeanwhile, made a case for why his win in the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series category would give him another baby with wife Jazz Charton. “I want more,” he declared. “You said maybe if I win!”
While the speeches and fun reunions on stage captivated the audience, a lot happened during the commercial breaks. Additionally, viewers were unaware of many of the crossover interactions in the audience.

During the awards ceremony on Sunday, January 14, Ramsey, 20, made a joke about DeBose, 32, calling her one of the “actors who also think they're singers.” When the cameras panned to DeBose, she was visibly confused by the jab, revealing via her Instagram Story, “No, I didn't think it was funny. Lol.” However, their Emmy foray seems to confirm that there are no hard feelings.
