Epic Games is quietly changing the next free game – fans can grab an 84-rated classic

EPIC Games gives away free games every week, but the quality of the games varies greatly from week to week.

This week, Epic Games was set to give away The Bridge, a successful indie game that scored a respectable score of 78 on the aggregated review site Metacritic.

Gamers were already satisfied with the offering, but Epic Games has exceeded their expectations.

Instead of offering The Bridge this week, the Epic Games Store has changed the next free game to Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.

It was developed by Eidos-Montréal, a studio known not only for the Deus Ex series, but also for Shadow of the Tomb Raider and several Marvel games.

Deus Ex is one of the series that popularized the immersive sim genre, and it has become a classic must-play game.

The blurb for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided reads: “The year is 2029, and mechanically enhanced humans are now considered outcasts, living lives of complete and utter separation from the rest of society.

“Now a seasoned secret agent, Adam Jensen is forced to operate in a world that has come to despise his kind.

“Armed with a new arsenal of state-of-the-art weapons and expansions, he must choose the right approach, along with who he can trust, to unravel a vast global conspiracy.”

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is an excellent game with a score of 84 and has maintained its popularity over the years.

PC gamers can download Deus Ex Thursday March 14, 2024, until Thursday March 21, 2024.

The games will switch at 4pm UK time / 12pm (noon) ET, when a new free game will be up for grabs.
