New Delhi: Speculations of BCCI being upset with Ishan Kishan took yet another turn after the Indian cricket board announced the Indian squad for the first two Test matches against England starting on January 25 in Hyderabad. Kishan is currently on a break from cricket and has not participated in it in any form for the past month.

There are rumors all over the internet that BCCI is upset with the young wicketkeeper-batsman as he took a break from cricket due to mental fatigue and then went to party in Dubai. The board has not included him in the Afghanistan and England series as a disciplinary measure.

These rumors intensified after BCCI named Dhruv Jurel in the Indian squad for the first two Test matches against England as the third wicketkeeping option, apart from KL Rahul and KS Bharat.

However, India.com has discovered through its sources that these rumors are false. BCCI has not dropped the cricketer as punishment, Ishan Kishan is currently on a break and has not yet made himself available for selection.

ven Team India's head coach Rahul Dravid confirmed this during a press conference on the eve of the first T20I against Afghanistan.

“No, absolutely not (disciplinary issue). Ishan Kishan was not available for selection. Ishan requested a break, which we arranged in South Africa. We supported it. He has not yet made himself available. I don't think he has made himself available yet. Whenever he is available, he will play domestic cricket and make himself available for selection,” Dravid told reporters at the pre-series press conference.

Squad for the first 2 tests against England: Rohit Sharma (C), Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul (WK), KS Bharat (WK), Dhruv Jurel (WK), Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohd. Siraj, Mukesh Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah (VC), Avesh Khan
