Influencer Mia Khalifa has revealed that she’s so engrossed in a video game that she’s unable to get back to her adoring fans — asking them to “keep waiting” for her answer.

The US-based star, who used to work in the porn industry but has recently spoken out against it, shared a photo of herself playing Hogwarts Legacy on Instagram.

The star, 30, was seen enjoying a Starbucks coffee while playing the latest Harry Potter themed game on her console after a busy week as she has said she needs to rest.

Mia shared a Harry Potter emoji in the top right corner of the screen on her Instagram story while showing off her toned legs to her 27.6 million followers.

The caption read, “If I owe you an email, keep waiting.

Influencer Mia Khalifa told fans to ‘keep waiting’ for her reply as she appeared to be enjoying some downtime at home

“I need at least 3 days of Portkey, takeaway and oui’d to recover from all the socializing I’ve been doing for the past two weeks.”

Mia’s recovery period comes after an intense fortnight at various fashion shoots and events, including a recent Diesel fashion show.

It comes after she gave fans a glimpse into her fun vacation to Mexico where she stays in a luxury villa.

The beauty posted clips to her Instagram story of herself and her friends twerking at the Casa Xixim villa.

Mia opted for a fuchsia dress with plunging neckline and ruffles when she was out for a night out with her friends — but it certainly wasn’t a low-key night.

With music blaring in the background, the 30-year-old influencer takes on her boyfriend in what appears to be a twerk contest, The Sun reported.

She captioned the story: “Photos, or it didn’t happen…omg.”

Mia seemed to be enjoying her time in Mexico as she posted a rundown of photos and videos to her Instagram grid from her fun night yesterday.

She wrote, “Mexico, te amo con todo mi corazon” which translates to “Mexico, I love you with all my heart.”

Mia continued, “This country, the people, the food, the history… it’s pure magic.”

The Lebanese-born star concluded, “Tengo tanto suerte en esta vida,” which translates to, “I’m so lucky in this life.”

The group will stay in the exclusive Casa Xixim villa, which costs around £2,000 per night to rent and comes with a private chef.

Mia, whose real name is Sarah Joe Chamoun, spends much of her time calling out to the porn industry after her three-month stint making porn movies in 2014.

She became a controversial figure after filming skits while wearing a hijab, revealing in 2019 that she had received death threats because of her work.

In an interview with Stephen Sackur on BBC’s HardTalk, she was asked to explain what drove her to star in adult films fresh out of university after being approached by a man on the street.

“I don’t think low self-esteem discriminates against anyone,” she said. “It doesn’t matter if you come from a great family or a not-so-great background.

Mia explained that her self-esteem issues started at a young age, and part of her interest in porn stemmed from a desire to feel attractive.

Mia was in Miami when a man approached her about joining the adult film industry, but she explained that he didn’t immediately tell what he was actually asking.

“It wasn’t just, ‘Hey, do you want to come do porn?'” she recalls. “It was more like, ‘Oh, you’re beautiful.’ Want to do some modeling? Oh, you know, you’ve got a great body, I think you’d be great at nude modelling.’ Those kind of things.’

She said the studio was “very respectable” and in a “beautiful location.” It was clean, the people were friendly, and the employee booths were decorated with family photos. There was nothing that made her feel uncomfortable.

“I don’t really see myself as a victim. I don’t like that word,’ she said. “I made my own decisions, even if they were terrible decisions. I think something needs to change in the way women are approached.’

Mia stressed that producers can’t force movie stars to do a sex act they don’t want to do, but she admitted she had “very little to say” about the theme and location during filming.

She explained that she can’t even really remember what it was like to film sex acts because her adrenaline was running so high at the time.

“I even shocked myself,” she said of the decision that not only changed her life, but also destroyed her relationship with her family.

“They disowned me when they found out. I felt completely alienated from not only the world, but my family and the people around me,” she said. “Especially after I quit, when I was still alone, even though I left. And I’m just realizing that some mistakes are unforgivable. But time heals all wounds and things are getting better now.’

When asked if she had a hard time filming in a hijab, Mia said she told the producers they would have her killed off, but they just laughed.

While it was ultimately her choice to film it, she admitted she was too nervous to tell them she wasn’t willing to do it, especially after the reaction she got when she expressed her concerns.

“If there are four white male producers in the room and you say something like that to them and they all just laugh, I mean it’s kind of devastating,” she said. “It makes you want to stop talking and say something again.”

Mia said the video, which propelled her to viral stardom, “shattered” her world. It was never her intention to become a famous porn star, far from it.

“The reason I thought it was okay to do porn was because I thought no one would ever find out,” she said. “There are millions of girls filming themselves having sex and doing things like that and no one knows their names. Nobody knows who they are. Nobody recognizes them.

“I wanted to do it as my dirty little secret, but it blew up in my face.”
