Fortnite out? Fans are eager to get back into the game after the v29.01 update

FORTNITE was offline this morning and players were eager to get back online and play a match.

After the recent extended downtime to update servers for Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2, players were concerned about downtime extensions.

This is a much smaller update, so players can already get started with the game.

Why was Fortnite offline?

Fortnite was offline due to planned maintenance, meaning there is no problem with the servers.

Epic Games has updated its servers for the Fortnite v29.01 update, which will add a number of changes to the game.

This is one of the faster updates we’ve seen, with servers returning in just over an hour.

What has changed in Fortnite?

A number of new items and weapons have been added to the game, in keeping with the Myths and Mortals theme.

The epic weapon, Chains of Hades, can grab enemies and pull them towards you while dealing heavy damage.

A new standard weapon has also been added, the Drum Gun, which can be found in the standard loot.

Shield Bubble Jr is a new item added that is similar to the Shield Bubble, but smaller.

The base has also been added for the introductory map editors for both Rocket Racing and Lego Fortnite, although players don’t have access to them yet.

This feature has been rumored for some time, but there is no news yet on when the feature will be available.
