A VAPE store was defaced overnight with an angry sign accusing it of selling products to children.
The TechXVape staff came into work Saturday morning to find a banner on their storefront that read: “We Sell fumes for children – No ID.
“No problem!”
Residents speculated that an angry parent had targeted the store, with one text written on it Facebook: “Good on the dad who did this by selling a vape to a 14 year old, take the p*ss, this is another reason why they are thinking about banning them.”
Staff at the store in Retford, Bassetlaw, insisted they did not sell vapes to children.
A manager, who did not want to be named, insisted customers would be asked for identification.
They told the Sun on Sunday: “If anyone had a problem they could just talk to us instead of spending money to put a sign next to our name.
“It was really shocking to see that. We do ask for identification.”
Disposable vapes will soon be banned as part of Rishi Sunak's plans to tackle the rise in vaping among young people.
New powers will also be introduced limit flavors be marketed to children and ensure that manufacturers produce clearer packaging.
New £100 fines will also be imposed on shops in England and Wales illegally selling vapes to children.
