The Drop the microphone alum continued, “Things can always be taken out of context or interpreted differently than they were intended. We all need to think more carefully about what we post and what we say, myself included. Ultimately, I believe that love will always be greater than hate and negativity, and that there is always an opportunity to meet with more empathy and compassion.”

The posts from the two women followed months of speculation about their relationship due to their history with Justin Bieber. Hailey married the “Yummy” crooner, 29, in 2018, while Gomez occasionally dated the Canadian native from 2010 to 2018.

Rumors of tension between Hailey and Gomez have followed the pair for years, but things escalated in February after Hailey was accused of mocking the Kidnapping actress’ eyebrows with pal Kylie Jenner. “No shade towards Selena ever,” the founder of Kylie Cosmetics, 25, wrote in a TikTok comment at the time.
