Israel has regained control of the besieged Gaza Strip after 39 days, the defense minister said. Defense Minister Yoav Gallant confirmed that Hamas has lost control of the Gaza Strip, where the IDF has vowed to eradicate Hamas. According to The Times of Israel, Gallant said Israeli forces are advancing toward each location and the terrorists are fleeing south.
There is no Hamas force that can stop the IDF. The IDF is advancing in every location. The Hamas organization has lost control in Gaza. Terrorists flee south and civilians plunder Hamas bases. They have no confidence in the government,” Gallant said, according to The Times of Israel.
Since Israel launched its ground operations in Gaza, the armed forces have kept the tunnel network as their first target. IDF has destroyed hundreds of Hamas tunnels and other terror hideouts of the militant group. Recently, IDF shared a video of a tunnel claiming it led to a hospital. IDF also claimed that this was the place where Israeli hostages were being held by Hamas. The conflict in Gaza escalated after the Hamas attack on October 7. About 2,500 terrorists entered the border with Israel from the Gaza Strip, causing casualties and the seizure of hostages. In retaliation, Israel launched ‘Operation Iron Swords’ and announced a war against Hamas.
