Harrison admitted that he loved “going to work every day” while filming the last Indiana Jones movie, which also starred Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

He said he was thrilled to have the opportunity to step back into Indiana’s shoes, confessing that he had been waiting “years” for the film’s script.

Speaking of the decision to make this final movie 15 years after the last Indiana movie, he explained, “It’s been 40 years since the beginning and I’ve been waiting for this script and the chance to come along for several years.

And we ended up coming up with the right mix of adventure and character and emotion and so I was really happy to get back into this character. ‘

Speaking of returning to the project, he said, “It was a big job and a very ambitious film and I was delighted with the script.”

“It was nice going to work every day,” he added.

Harrison also described working with Phoebe, 37, as “brilliant,” while describing her acting talent as “cinema gold.”

He said, “She brought incredible intelligence to the character she plays — I mean actress intelligence. She is real cinema gold. She’s a brilliant actress and was a brilliant companion.”

Harrison also praised Ke Huy Quan – the child star who rose to fame playing his sidekick Short Round in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom – and won an Oscar earlier this year for Everything Everywhere All At Once.

He said, ‘He’s got a great constitution and energy. It’s great to see him back in this form. He really is a unique person and he has worked in the company for so long, and to have this great success.”
