Harrison Ford keeps it casual as he braves the crowds for some last-minute holiday shopping in Century City… after the Golden Globes snub

Harrison Ford was not deterred by the crowd of last-minute Christmas shoppers during an outing on Thursday.

The 81-year-old superstar was spotted in the parking garage of the Westfield shopping center in Los Angeles’ Century City as he took care of some final details before the holidays.

He was dressed casually for the outing, appearing as if he was traveling alone.

The trip to the mall comes after Ford was snubbed earlier this month when the nominations for the 81st Golden Globe Awards were announced.

He helms the popular Yellowstone prequel series 1923 but missed out on a best actor nod, although his co-star Helen Mirren, 78, managed to land a nomination.

Ford had on a light blue button-up shirt, which he wore with the few buttons undone and his sleeves slightly rolled up, exposing his muscular forearms.

The Indiana Jones star paired it with slim navy blue jeans and black leather Chelsea boots, and sported a messy mop of white hair above his weathered face.

The actor also had a pair of sunglasses with him and he could be seen searching the garage for his car.

After a three-year hiatus due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Ford returned to theaters earlier this year for the fifth and final Indiana Jones film, The Dial Of Destiny.

The film scored only moderately positive reviews and received a new rating from 61 percent of the most prestigious critics surveyed by Rotten Tomatoes.

It is a departure from the four previous Indiana Jones films, as original director Steven Spielberg chose not to be involved, while his longtime friend and collaborator George Lucas did not create the story, as he had done with all previous installments.

Instead, both men served only as executive producers, with Logan and Ford V. Ferrari director James Mangold taking over behind the camera.

The film ultimately became a box office bomb for Disney, after grossing just $384 million against a budget of around $300 million.

Taking into account additional costs for advertising and promotion, the film is expected to lose approximately $100 million for the House of Mouse.

Some of that failure is a self-inflicted wound, however, as Dial of Destiny was also significantly more expensive than previous Indiana Jones films, although Covid safety costs and delays would have accounted for some of the bloated budget.

Aside from that recent film, Ford has recently made a surprisingly late-career turn to television.

Although he had appeared in guest roles early in his career, his leading roles in 1923 and Shrinking were an anomaly.

Both were hits with critics, with Ford receiving special praise for his roles.
