Hillary Clinton was pictured in Manhattan on Monday clutching a memoir about a family's “shame and secrecy.”
The former secretary of state was back in New York City for the first time since her husband's name was dragged through the mud again over his friendship with pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
Bill Clinton, now 77, was friends with the billionaire financier. Last week, a series of court documents from a 2015 case against Epstein's right-hand man Ghislaine Maxwell were unsealed and Bill's name featured prominently.
In one particularly damaging section, one victim of Epstein claimed he told her Clinton “likes them young,” referring to girls.
None of the documents contained any allegations of sexual activity between Clinton and Epstein's victims, but their release was deeply uncomfortable for Clinton and other powerful men linked to Epstein – including Prince Andrew, magician David Copperfield and Donald Trump.

The Clintons returned to New York this week after spending the holidays in Latin America – visiting the Dominican Republic, exploring the Mexican town of San Miguel de Allende and soaking up the sun at a remote Mexican getaway with the company from California Governor Gavin Newsom and his wife Jennifer.

Clinton previously said through a spokesperson that he never visited his homes during his trip on Epstein's plane, had no knowledge of his crimes and has not spoken to Epstein since his conviction in Florida.
Other released documents contain legal arguments about whether Clinton should be impeached. Lawyers for Virginia Roberts-Giuffre — whose legal battle was the source of the court papers — argued that the former president was a “key person who could provide information about his close relationship” with Epstein.
Bill and Hillary Clinton avoided all news of the documents in Mexico and stayed at the luxurious Four Seasons resort in Tamarindo, in the western state of Jalisco.
The secluded hotel, where rooms cost $800 a night, is nestled in a 3,000-acre nature reserve and has a six-mile private beach. It also features a spa, a golf course and a ranch where much of the food for the restaurant is grown and raised.
The Clintons were seen riding a golf cart with Newsom, and the couples had dinner together.
Newsom has been friends with the Clintons for years and wished Bill a happy birthday on Facebook in 2016.

Before traveling to Tamarindo, Clinton was spotted strolling the streets of the popular tourist town of San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, 500 miles inland from the resort town.
Mayor Mauricio Trejo Pureco shared a photo of Clinton in front of the parish of San Miguel Arcángel on social media.
In a tweet, Pureco welcomed him, saying: 'Even Bill Clinton walks calmly and safely through the streets of San Miguel de Allende, enjoying the unique beauty and friendliness of the people of San Miguel de Allende.
