Horror as two teenage girls are ‘sexually assaulted’ at popular shopping centre, with three boys aged 11, 13 and 14 arrested

THREE boys have been arrested after claiming two teenage girls were sexually assaulted in a shopping centre.

The girls were approached by a group in the Atria shopping center in Watford on Saturday before he was allegedly touched inappropriately.

The boys are 11, 13 and 14 years old and have been arrested on suspicion of assault.

They have since been released on bail.

Police have urged anyone with information about the alleged attack between 12pm and 1pm to come forward.

Inspector Dan Jones, head of Watford’s Neighborhood Policing Team, said: ‘We understand that news of this incident will cause concern among the wider community, and we hope that news of the arrests is reassuring.

“We are supporting both victims and will keep them and their families informed of our investigation as it progresses.

“This incident happened during a busy Saturday in the city center and we are urging anyone who believes they witnessed what happened to help us with our investigation.”
