Horror crash on Victoria’s Hamilton Highway: Child killed and five rushed to hospital
A child has died and five others, including another child, have been rushed to hospital after a head-on collision in Victoria.
The crash occurred on the Hamilton Highway, west of Geelong, about 9pm on Wednesday and involved two vehicles.
According to Victoria Police, the collision resulted in the immediate death of a child at the scene. Three people, including another child, were rushed to hospital in the same vehicle.
The child suffered life-threatening injuries, while a man and a woman suffered serious injuries.
The occupants of the second car, two men, were also taken to hospital. One of them is in critical condition with life-threatening injuries, while the other suffered minor injuries.
An ongoing investigation by Victoria Police is attempting to uncover the circumstances surrounding the tragic collision.
