After the horrific attacks, he dragged severed heads and animal parts onto a quad bike and took them home as trophies.

Acting on intelligence, officers executed a drugs warrant at Taylor’s hideout in Nottinghamshire last year.

Chilling footage from the February 24 raid showed a hoard of 15 deer skulls, 14 fox tails, two deer heads, two antlers and a bag of wire snares.

Skulls lie on table tops in a “slaughterhouse” shed at the Worksop address, while a decomposing animal part sits in a bucket of bleach.

A blood-stained quad bike and lighting equipment were also recovered from the home.

Taylor was detained, his phone was seized and dogs found at the address were placed under the supervision of specialist rural police officers as part of the investigation.

When officers got into his phone, they found a demonic trove of 31 videos and 161 images of Taylor’s dogs destroying wildlife.

In the clips you can hear the enemy urging his dogs to kill screaming wild animals as they are torn to shreds.

PC Mark Holland, from Worksop South’s community policing team, said the videos were “the most disturbing, cruel and vile I have ever seen”.

Taylor’s offenses were committed in Nottinghamshire between August 31, 2021 and February 21, 2023.

He subsequently pleaded guilty to four charges of causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal, namely foxes, badgers, deer and pigeons, by putting dogs on them.

Judge Mark Watson jailed him for two years and eight months at Nottingham Crown Court on Thursday, describing Taylor as a ‘sadistic’ man who ‘enjoyed’ the suffering of animals.

He added: “These offenses cannot in any way be described as sport. This was a barbaric hobby of yours.

“These were prolonged and repeated incidents of serious cruelty and examples of sadistic behaviour.”

He was also banned from owning dogs and was told it would be seven years before he could apply to have this overturned.

Chief Inspector Clive Collings, head of the Rural Crime and Wildlife Force, said: ‘Not only did he get satisfaction from filming the barbaric activity, he occasionally joined in by capturing some of the wild animals and kicking one of the foxes while he was at it. clearly still alive.”
