Two major US reality stars have dropped a huge hint that they could return to Celebrity Big Brother next year.

Married couple Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt first appeared on the show in 2013 when they finished second to Big Brother icon Rylan Clark.

The couple – often called ‘Speidi’ – have now been married for 15 years and share two boys, Gunner, 5, and Ryker, 9.

The pair met in a nightclub in 2006 while Montag was filming The Hills and went on to star in several other reality shows, such as the US version of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!.

Now, following the success of the debut series, a star-studded celebrity edition will air on ITV1 and STV next year.

Celebrity Big Brother sees a new cast of famous faces isolated from the outside world as they embark on the ultimate social experiment and move into the iconic Big Brother house.

The celebrities leave the luxury behind and take part in weekly nominations and tough tasks with cameras capturing their every move.

Like its sister show, Celebrity Big Brother is followed every night by Celebrity Big Brother: Late & Live, giving viewers an extra hour of exclusive content.

Late & Live will once again be the only place to watch the first live interview of the famous exiles, alongside a range of unmissable exclusive features including CCTV access, special guest commentary and debate.

The Celebrity Big Brother: Live Stream also returns to screens, airing seven nights a week on ITVX and STV Player, allowing fans to watch live footage into the early hours after Celebrity Big Brother: Late & Live.

Speaking about the show’s return, Paul Mortimer, Director of Reality Commissioning & Acquisitions and Controller of ITV2 and ITVBe, said: ‘The reception from our viewers to the return of Big Brother has been fantastic.

‘We’re therefore delighted to announce that we will be bringing our very own celebrity edition to ITV1 and ITVX next year.

‘Casting is underway to find a new crop of famous faces who are sure to deliver even more iconic and unmissable BB moments.’

Meanwhile, Natalka Znak, CEO of Initial, Remarkable Entertainment and Znak TV, added: ‘The launch series on ITV2 was so much fun to make and we’re thrilled that Big Brother has found a whole new audience on ITV2.
