'Do not be crazy. It's fine,” one person commented.

Another agreed, adding: “What exactly are your concerns?”

A third wrote: 'I did a skydive with two work friends (one female, one male, and we were all single). It was just three colleagues jumping out of a plane.'

'Do you have any concerns about this specific person? Or is there a history of your partner being unfaithful?'

Another wrote: 'He has the right to do the activities he likes. You're controlling.'

And another forum user added: 'You're being ridiculous. You said you weren't interested, so your husband is doing the sky dive with someone else. Why the need for the drama?'

Another added: 'This thread has cheered me up. There's nothing you have to worry about.'

A third added: 'Unless there's history with women then YABU [You Are Being Unreasonable].'

Meanwhile, another respondent added: 'Come along to watch and support, many novice jumpers bring friends and family to watch. This is no more likely to make him bond with her than any shared activity, and you can't stop him from doing everything you don't want to do!'

And a fifth wrote: 'I understand why you don't like it. I wouldn't want my guy to get all excited about sharing experiences he will remember for the rest of his life with another woman.

“There's not much you can do though, it's a charity case and he asked you first. Just be supportive and go to the airport on the day to take photos.”
