“We had so much fun,” the former Bachelorette, 32, shared exclusively Us weekly ahead of USA Network’s Wednesday, June 14 premiere The big D. “Although the two years of [wedding] delays could have been a very stressful situation, we just rolled with the punches.

Fletcher and Rodgers, 34, who got engaged in 2016, exchanged vows at Sunstone Winery in Santa Ynez, Calif., in May 2022 — two years after their OG ceremony was scheduled and postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

“[Now], the child conversation is definitely at the forefront of a lot of our conversations,” she continued. “Next year we will really find out what that future looks like as a family, so that will be exciting.”

The couple went on to reflect on their “amazing” marriage.

“We took the engagement very seriously — we didn’t just get married, we dated,” Rodgers explained to Us. “We fought our way through a tough first year. We planned a wedding and then had to postpone it twice. So the satisfaction of finally doing it with everyone there — it was worth waiting the two years of the pandemic to do it that way.

Fletcher, who called their big day “so much fun”, added that it was the “best night of my life” as she experienced “zero stress”.

“I’ve never seen JoJo take tequila shots and she was the center of the party,” the former quarterback shared. Us. “In California they have a rule that you have to turn off amplified noise at 10 or 11 o’clock, so that’s kind of when the party ends. And JoJo grabbed the mic out of nowhere on the dance tour and she said, “We’re not leaving!” It was like, The Wolf of Wall Street – ‘We’re not leaving! The show goes on.’ That’s my wife!”

The couple’s second year of marriage also marks a return to reality TV as presenters of The big D — a series that follows six former couples — who have been separated for several years — who pursue dating the other divorcees in a villa in Costa Rica.

“There’s a couple that’s been together for 16 years — a good part of their lives — high school sweethearts [and] was married. They get in and one person is ready to get back together [and] one person is ready to move on and cut ties,” Rodgers teased Us. “And as soon as they enter the house, things start to change for that couple. I think that’s interesting – how you felt about your ex or how you felt about entering your relationship doesn’t always end [being] what happens once you are in it. So that was interesting to see someone say, “I’m never getting back with my ex.” They go in there and say, ‘Wait, maybe it wasn’t as bad as I thought.’”

The big D premieres on USA Network Wednesday, June 14 at 10 p.m. ET.
