Jon Bon Jovi makes a joke about Taylor Swift's divorces

Getty ImagesAs he reflects on his four-decade career in the music industry, Jon Bon Jovi I couldn't resist mentioning megastar Taylor Swift — and gave a playful shoutout to her songwriting inspiration.
During an appearance on the Television Critics Association panel on Friday, February 9 for his upcoming Hulu docuseries, Thank you good nightBon Jovi, 61, recalled how his music has changed over the years as he has experienced life.
“That's the magic of a 40-year career. In my 20s, when I got a record deal, I didn't have much to write about other than high school,” Bon Jovi said. “And I haven't broken up with people like Taylor.”
Swift, 34, has famously sung about love — and breakups — since the start of her career. The pop star told Dateline in 2009: “If guys don't want me to write bad songs about them, they shouldn't do bad things.”

Bon Jovi, for his part, married his high school sweetheart, Dorothea Hurleyin 1989. The couple has since welcomed four children together: Stephanie, 30, Jesse, 28, Jake, 21, and Romeo, 19.

I will follow you.'”
William admitted in 2021 that he didn't know the “You Give Love a Bad Name” singer and Swift would be at the event, adding that their performance was “almost right [him] from my feet.”

“When I sat down to watch Jon Bon Jovi do his performance, I thought, 'That's it. My work is done. I'm going to have dinner in a minute and then maybe I can talk to some people, and you know, I'm a little off duty right now.'”
Bon Jovi's four-part docuseries chronicles the band's rise to fame in a series of videos and interviews. “This is basically the band's 40th anniversary,” Bon Jovi said Friday. “I wanted to document what happened in my past, with the vision of what the future is.”
Hulu's Thank you good night will be released on April 26.
