‘One of the most traumatic weeks of our lives’: Jordan Banjo’s son Atreus, five weeks old, is hospitalized with sepsis and suspected meningitis

Jordan Banjo’s baby was sadly hospitalized last week with sepsis and suspected meningitis.

The Diversity star, 30, welcomed his third child Atreus with wife Naomi Courts just weeks ago on April 25, but has been dealing with health issues more recently.

Naomi took to Instagram on Wednesday to share the scary news as she talked about how it was one of the most “traumatic weeks of their lives” and that they were even “discussing the worst.”

Naomi wrote alongside a video of her holding her little one, “Ahh god where do we start… in case you’re wondering where we’ve been, last week I took Atreus to the ER after feeling like something was wrong and he was immediately admitted with sepsis and suspected meningitis.

“It has been the most emotionally draining, frightening week of our lives. We cried a lot, we barely slept, and we discussed the worst…but we carried each other through possibly one of the most traumatic weeks of our lives.

“You never think it would be your baby and honestly I can’t explain how awful it is to leave your poor baby in a hospital and go home and just be ‘mommy’ to your other kids while your heart breaks.

“We are so lucky to be able to alternate nights with Tre and the kids so we can share ourselves with all 3 kids and keep some normalcy for the bigger 2.

“It’s been tough, but we’ve done our best for our babies. All we need now is our family back together where we belong.

‘We are more than 5 days further and we finally have a stable temperature. It looks positive for Tre Tre and we are finally seeing an improvement.

“Our super brave strong boy has had all sorts of blood tests this week, a wood puncture and constant prodding and prodding, but there is finally light at the end of the tunnel and we can’t wait to get him home where he belongs.

“We still don’t really have answers and it’s still a week before the antibiotics, but he’s on the right track and we’re just staying positive.”
