Black Friday is just around the corner, and while many of us are looking for bargains in fashion and technology, it turns out that food retailers are also joining in on the fun.

Food delivery giant Just Eat has just announced its latest round of savings for hungry diners in the UK, including free hash browns from McDonald’s and Dough Balls from PizzaExpress.

From Friday 24 November to Monday 27 November, UK customers can claim a freebie on selected items from 12,000 participating restaurants and supermarkets via the Just Eat app.

To claim your free item, all you need to do is live in the UK and meet a minimum spend, which varies by country participating restaurants and supermarkets – including McDonald’s, KFCPizza Express, Caffè Nero and Sainsbury’s.

The minimum spend varies per restaurant and the free price is agreed in advance.

If you’re craving a free hash brown from McDonald’s, a ginger shot from Joe & The Juice or a grande latte from Caffè Nero, you’re in luck – and there’s no limit to the number of orders per day.

Lunch treats include a free KFC Regular Popcorn Chicken, six McDonald’s McNuggets or Dough Balls from PizzaExpress.

And as part of the Black Friday weekend, Just Eat is giving away free food items, following on from its Freebie Friday promotion.

Freebie Friday is the delivery giant’s biggest ever competition yet.

This comes after food deliveries at Just Eat fell in October as customers returned to restaurants.

Orders on the collection platform totaled 235.3 million in the three months to the end of September, down 7 percent from a year earlier.

The sector boomed during lockdowns, but companies like Just Eat have now adapted to Brits eating out more.

The rising cost of living has also hit consumer spending this year, with orders falling by 3 percent in Britain and Ireland.

The value of orders also fell by 7 percent to £6 billion.

But Just Eat raised its profit forecast from £239 million to around £269 million.

CEO Jitse Groen said: ‘Within Great Britain and Ireland we continue to invest significantly while increasing profitability.’
