Kaitlyn Bristowe hopes to restore her friendship with Dancing with the stars pro Alan Bersten after calling him ‘ad – k’.
‘Alan still won’t talk to me. He walked right past me [at] Dancing with the stars” Bristowe, 38, shared when she appeared on the Monday, November 6, episode Cheryl Burke‘S Podcast ‘Sex, lies and spray tans’. “He won’t call me back, and I apologized profusely on my podcast.”
The conversation then started DWTS pro Burke, 39, asked Bristowe if she would ever be interested in returning to the show for a hypothetical Bachelor education And Bachelor party all star season. Bristowe said she would, explaining that she would want Bersten, 29, as her partner. But first they have to be on good terms.
Bristowe has been in trouble with Bersten since he called him “some kind of ad-k” when warning the current contestant Charity Lawson about the show’s male pros. The former Bachelor party star also called Bersten ‘crazy in the ballroom’.
Speaking to Burke on Monday, Bristowe doubled down on her previous comments.
“I call them all d—ks in the most loving way,” she explained. “I would really want Alan as a partner if they ever did All-Stars because he’s such a good friend to me. We are so close.”
However, Bersten “will not respond or talk” to Bristowe. “It’s sad,” she added.
After her comments went viral, the “Off the Vine” podcast host clarified the name-calling.
“I can be ad-k. We can all be d–ks. Alan is one of my best friends from the show,” Bristowe shared via Instagram on September 16. “I have nothing but love and respect for him. I think it’s okay to be ad-k and push people to believe in themselves and light a fire.”
Bersten, for his part, said he took what Bristowe said “kind of” as a compliment, but didn’t understand why she would discuss that topic.
“First of all, I’ve never danced with Kaitlyn, so I don’t know why that would come up,” the professional dancer explained. We weekly on September 20. “I am very proud of my work and above all I make sure that my partners feel comfortable and confident.”
When Bristowe competed in season 29 in 2020, she was paired with Artem Chigvintsevwith whom she won the mirror ball trophy.
“You know, the funny thing is, I actually feel the same way Artem and I had… it [was] as a business,” she said Us in October 2022 of the partnership between her and Chigvintsev. “And then we moved on, and I didn’t really talk to him, which is kind of sad. Don’t know. He’s busy. He dances every day. He has a sweet boy at home, and he just got married [to Nikki Garcia]which I was so excited about.”
Currently, Chigvintsev is linked to Lawson, 27, and he hasn’t taken Bristowe’s previous comments to heart.
“Look, it’s all with a good intention. Because sometimes I know that when we have someone with great potential, you want to get that out of him or her,” he said Us in September before the DWTS season 32 premiere. “It worked for Kaitlyn: she won the mirrorball trophy.”
