Kate Ritchie is the latest celebrity to be involved in an insidious social media hoax ripping off Australian customers.

The Nova FM star, 45, took to Instagram on Saturday to warn her followers that scammers have been using her image to promote weight loss gummies.

She shared a screenshot of a fake image showing her “endorsing” the gummies, alongside a lengthy caption that began, “THIS POST OR SOMETHING LIKE IT’S FAKE.”

“I’m sorry to all the people who believed this crap about me selling KETO GUMMIES or ANY QUICK FIX WEIGHT LOSS PLAN!” she warned.

‘Share this message (from the real me) on your own socials on Insta and FB and feel free to report the countless versions of FAKES floating around there.’

‘Oh. And thank you to everyone who reached out to me with questions,” she concluded.

The former Home And Away star’s concerned fans immediately flooded her post with comments.

“I’m so sorry that your beautiful body and soul are being used this way without your consent,” one follower wrote.

“Yeah, that’s what I thought, there’s so many fakes around, they’re assholes,” wrote another.

Fellow actor Rebecca Gibney, meanwhile, added: “Those gummies come around. Not long ago they did the same thing to me!’
