Kim and Khloe Kardashian address Kanye West’s anti-Semitic comments

Khloe Kardashian And Kim Kardashian convicted Kanye Westanti-Semitic remarks after facing public backlash.

During a new episode of The Kardashiansairing on Thursday, July 6, Kim, 42, discussed her ex-husband’s disparaging statements about the Jewish community — and her response.

“I feel so sorry for him. I don’t even think he feels bad for himself. I don’t even know if he knows how. I just feel so bad,” the founder of Skims told Khloé, 39. footage shot in October 2022. The rapper, 46, raised eyebrows earlier that month after posting about “going death con 3 [sic] About JEWISH PEOPLE” in a Twitter storm. “The funny thing is that I can’t actually be anti-Semitic because black people are actually Jewish too,” he added at the time. “You played with me and tried to blackball anyone who opposes your agenda.”

Kim quickly broke her silence on Kanye’s social media posts, tweeting in October 2022, “Hate speech is never okay or excusable. I stand with the Jewish community and call for an immediate end to the appalling violence and hateful rhetoric directed at them.”

After Kanye’s comments made headlines, his social media platforms were temporarily restricted and he was dropped by multiple brands.

In the episode, the aspiring lawyer admitted that she found it difficult to speak out against Kanye. “The whole situation is sad and I don’t know how to deal with it emotionally. I’m conflicted because I never want to jump in and be part of a downfall of my children’s father, “Kim, who shares daughters North, 9, and Chicago, 5, and sons Saint, 7, and Psalm, 4, with the songwriter, added to her Hulu series.

Khloé, for her part, reminded her sister not to allow Kanye’s “seriously irresponsible” actions to affect her.

“Kim, I feel bad every day [my ex-husband] Lamar [Odom]. Every day. I feel bad about it Tristan [Thomspon] not currently on a team. Lamar goes forever [to be] remembered as a drug user,” the Good American co-founder said, referring to her ex-husband’s struggles over the years. “This is Kanye’s stuff, but that doesn’t mean we don’t feel bad about it.”

Khloé previously called Kanye out on social media after he threw shade at her family. In October 2022, the fashion designer brought up his issues with Kim’s loved ones while defending his Yeezy season 9 show – in which he penned a T-shirt that read “White Lives Matter.”

“So why did everyone feel so free to attack me about my T-shirt. But Candace Owens was the only public figure to say it was wrong of the Kardashians to keep me from seeing my daughter,” he wrote via Instagram at the time, referencing his previous claims that he was not invited to his daughter’s birthday party. “Or we just intervene if we want to take down a black man because he actually has a political opinion.”

Kanye added: “And for all the onlookers so outraged at my T-shirt. Where were you when I couldn’t see my kids? I went public at the time hoping for public support.

In response, Khloé denounced the musician’s accusations in the comments section. ‘Yes, I love you. I don’t want to do this on social media, but YOU keep bringing it here. You’re the father of my cousins and I’m trying to be respectful, but please STOP putting Kimberly down and using our family as a distraction,” she replied. “As you yourself have stated, she is the one who takes care of your children 80% of the time. Please leave her and the family out of it so the children can be raised peacefully. 🙏🏽 I come from a place of love and I am happy to continue this conversation privately if you wish 🤍.”

Two months later, Kim reflected on the challenges of taking care of her children during her messy divorce from Kanye. (The former couple’s divorce was officially finalized in November 2022.)

“I certainly protected him, and I still will in the eyes of my children. For my children. So at my house, my kids don’t know anything about what’s going on [in] the outside world,” she explained in the podcast “Angie Martinez IRL” in December 2022. “I’m holding on by a thread. I know I’m so close it won’t happen, but while it still is, I’ll protect that to the ends of the earth as long as I can. My children know nothing.”

The Selfish the author recalled making an effort to “protect” what her children are exposed to online.

“It is [a full-time job]. It’s worth it because I think of course I want to distance myself from specific thoughts and things being said because that’s not me,” Kim shared. “But at the same time I could be going through something at home, but when we’re driving to school and they want to listen to their dad’s music — no matter what we’re going through — I need to have that smile on my face and blast his music and sing along with my children. [I can] pretend nothing is wrong and as soon as I take them off I can cry.”
