Kimberlee Singler, the Colorado mother who allegedly murdered two of her children and was on the run, has been taken into custody thousands of miles away in Britain, according to police.

Singler, 35, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, is wanted for alleged murder, attempted murder and child abuse. Earlier Sunday, Singler’s ex-husband Kevin Wentz identified the two dead children as 9-year-old Elianna and 7-year-old Aden.

Nearly two weeks after the original killings and a week after she was last seen or heard from, Singler was taken into custody in Britain on Saturday ‘without incident’, although it was not specified where and no photographs were provided.

Colorado Springs police say they will announce more details at a news conference, but have not yet scheduled one.

A spokesperson for the Colorado Springs Police Department told DailyMail.com that they are not releasing any further information about her arrest at this time.

Singler was also involved in a lengthy custody battle with her ex-husband and was just days away from losing the children.

Kimberlee Singler, the Colorado mother who allegedly murdered two of her children and was on the run, has been taken into custody thousands of miles away in Britain, according to police.

Police, responding to a 911 report of a burglary at an apartment complex in the 5300 block of Palomino Ranch Point, in the city’s northeast, on Dec. 19 around 12:30 p.m., found Singler and her surviving daughter, 11, lying next to the bodies of her other daughter, nine, and son, seven.

On Sunday, Wentz posted photos of his two children and their names: daughter Elianna “Elie” Wentz, 9, and Aden, 7.

Wentz issued a press release on Sunday that both revealed the names of his two deceased children and told his side of what happened leading up to their deaths.

He claims the incident is related to his divorce from Singler, which dates back to September 2018.

Wentz claims Singler made allegations of both domestic violence and child abuse against him, which a Larimer County court found unfounded, deeming Wentz not a threat to the children.

However, the tense battle continued well into 2023, when Singler obtained a temporary protective order against Wentz in El Paso County after she claimed he brandished a knife at her.

Wentz denies the charge, but the order remained in effect until Jan. 24 and an appeal hearing was scheduled.

Singler filed another emergency motion in district court on Nov. 17 to attempt to limit Wentz’s parenting time based on the same allegations, but the court vacated the order after finding there was no imminent threat.

The Larimer County Court even ordered Singler to pay Wentz’s legal bills and give him time to make up what he lost due to the order.

Singler, Wentz claims, did not comply with these guidelines and did not bring the children to Wentz on the scheduled December 16 exchange date.

Both he and his legal representatives tried to contact his ex-wife but received no response.

Wentz was granted an emergency motion for law enforcement assistance on Dec. 18 to enforce parenting time and scheduled a status conference for two days later, ordering Singler to appear with the children.

But by December 19, two of the three children were dead.

He states that he has fully cooperated with the police investigation into the murders.

On Sunday night, Wentz celebrated Singler’s arrest in a Facebook post, writing, “She has been found!!”

a Gofundme was started to raise money for the surviving family.

In September 2018, authorities were called when Wentz allegedly pulled a knife on the accused killer and called her offensive names when he came to pick up his children.

Singler and her 11-year-old daughter, both injured, were treated at the scene by emergency responders before being taken to local hospitals for further treatment.

But police said upon investigation they discovered the 911 call was a hoax.

The Singler family said in a statement of their own Saturday: “Following the statement from the Wentz family attorney, we have decided to issue a similar statement.

“We are cooperating fully with police in their efforts to locate Kimberlee and we are asking for the public’s help in finding her. We deeply grieve this horrific tragedy and ask for privacy and prayers as we navigate this storm.

“Our focus is on God and His glory and on our surviving niece. We hope everyone remembers the innocence that comes with this and our only goal is to protect her. Please pray for healing and peace for all involved as we seek answers, and grant us our privacy. Thank you.’

Authorities told the New York Times they had “reason to believe” that Singler, who was last seen on Christmas Eve, was no longer in the state.

They have cordoned off the apartment she lived in and are still investigating her disappearance, despite the FBI joining the manhunt.

It is still unknown whether she went on the run alone or with someone else, and it is also unknown whether there was another parent who helped raise Singler’s children.
