Kyle Richards And Mauricio Umansky speak out after news of their divorce broke on Monday, July 3.

“In regards to the news that has come out about us today… All the claims about us separating are untrue. But yes, we have had a tough year,” the two said in a joint statement via Instagram. “The most challenging of our marriage. But we both love and respect each other very much. No one has done anything wrong. Although we are in the public eye, we ask to be able to solve our problems privately.

Richards, 54, and Umansky, 53, seemed to indirectly address fan speculation about the nature of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star’s friendship with country singer Morgan Wade.

“While it can be fun to speculate, please don’t create false stories to fit another salacious story,” their statement said. “Thank you for the love and support. Kyle & Mauricio.”

An insider confirmed this on Monday Us weekly that Richards and Umansky are on the rocks.

“Kyle and Mauricio have been separated for a while, but still live together,” the source said. “They’re amicable as they figure out next steps.”

Richards and Umansky, who married in 1996, share daughters Alexia, 27, Sophia, 23, and Portia, 15. Richards is also mother to daughter Farrah Aldjufrie, 34, with ex-husband Guraish Aljufrie.

Umansky previously confirmed during an appearance on the “Two Ts In a Pod” podcast in April that their marriage was called into question on season 13 of RHOBH.

“[There’s] that one stupid story that came out there and then all the girls, you know, decided to talk about it on the Housewives and now it’s a storyline. So there are definitely some stories and Kyle and I are tackling it and we’re taking it from there. It is what it is’, explains the real estate mogul. “They really brought it to Kyle, which is kind of bitchy and super mean because, especially the girls, they really know what’s going on and they know exactly what it’s all about.”

Richards is the only surviving OG cast member in the Bravo series.

“For [her costars] to bring it up and make it real, bring it to the show… just kinda sucks,” Umansky added. “So we dealt with it and it is what it is. I think, you know, to be on these shows you have to get a thick skin.
