Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky ‘don’t get along’ after drama
Kyle Richards And Mauricio UmanskiThe once cordial split has turned sour after Umansky was photographed holding hands with his Dancing with the stars partner, Emma Slater.
Although Umansky, 53, and Slater, 34, have denied rumors that they are dating, they have “a very flirty relationship [and] seem a little too close,” a source exclusively reveals in the new issue of We weekly.
A second insider notes that Umansky and Richards, 54, are “not getting along” in the wake of the Slater drama, adding that The Agency founder’s wandering eye was a “catalyst for the divorce” between the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars.
Us confirmed in July that Richards and Umansky had split after 27 years of marriage. The Bravolebrities tied the knot in 1996 and share daughters Alexia, 27, Sophia, 23, and Portia, 15. Umansky is also the stepfather to Richards’ daughter Farrah, 34, who she welcomed with her ex-husband. Guraish Aldjufrie.
Richards and Umansky shared a joint statement about their divorce in July, noting that they were going through “a difficult year” and had no plans to divorce yet.
“We both love and respect each other immensely,” they said in a message shared via Instagram. “Nothing was done wrong by anyone.”
However, the dynamic between Richards and Umansky began to shift earlier this month after photos of him holding hands with Slater became public on October 22.
“I don’t know if anything has happened yet, but clearly something has,” Richards continued Watch what happens live with Andy Cohen days later, responding to the images. “Listen, I love him very much and we’re friendly. That really hurt me.”
She continued, “I just don’t think you hold someone’s hand like that.”
After Richards’ WWHL comments went viral, Umansky and Slater directly addressed the dating rumors.
“Just to be clear, we are not dating,” Umansky said in an Oct. 26 Instagram Story video recorded with Slater by his side. “We have been dancing together for six weeks now, four hours a day, every day.”
Slater explained that the “intense” DWTS experience creates a “very special bond” between the star and their professional.
“We [share] similar personalities,” she added. “We have a super supportive relationship. So last week was extremely emotional [it’s a] super supportive relationship. We are definitely there for each other, and it’s beautiful. That’s a great thing.”

Umansky clarified that the “intense” and “emotional” week had them leaning on each other for support.
“We were talking about the week at dinner, and when we came out to dinner, we were recapping, and I reached out to take Emma’s hand. She took my hand and then we walked to the cars, just recapping,” he explained. Slater said, “All of a sudden we’re dating.”
