Although this sounds too good to be true, gardening expert Jack Skilling revealed his method to get your garden back in full bloom.

Better known as The Lawn Pack on Tiktok, he even shared his best tips and showed fans how he totally transformed his garden.

While the lawn looked lush, the content creator revealed how it was overrun with moss and matted grass.

These pesky plants not only made the garden look untidy, but also prevented water from reaching the lawn, making it dry and brittle.

Instead of treating them with a weed killer, the gardener decided to remove the weeds with a rake, a process known as scarifying.

This not only improves the appearance of your lawn, it also allows more air, water and light to reach the grass and improves its overall quality. health.

In the short video he explained: “We started by scarifying the lawn. This removes excess thatch and allows the lawn to breathe.”

However, this wasn’t the only hack Jack had: the Tiktok star applied granular seed fertilizer to the lackluster lawn.

Unlike other forms of fertilizer, which can cost over £30 for a large bag, this alternative can be relatively cheap, with Amazon selling a 2.5kg tub for just £13.

After giving the lawn a much-needed health boost, the content creator was able to add some seed to cover any spots.

Five February chores to do now for a lush spring and summer garden

Although you can buy this at most garden centers or DIY stores, Jack stressed the importance of getting the right seed mix for your garden.

Because his garden was slightly drier than normal and ‘in use by pets’, Jack needed a high-quality seed mix made from a sustainable grass species.

He told his followers: “We have applied a suitable, high-quality seed mixture, in this case all to make the dry grass resilient.”

In addition, he also applied a rather unusual ingredient to obtain his garden summer ready: liquid seaweed.

While you may be used to seaweed in your takeout, the humble plant is actually packed with plant-loving phosphates, nitrogen and potassium.

“[It] is an organic biostimulant and will promote root development,” Jack revealed, adding that there was one final hack to keep the garden looking lush.

Instead of waiting for an occasional rain shower, the expert recommends watering your lawn every day for four weeks to keep it in top condition.

This should help you get your summer garden going, as Jack said: “The same process is entirely possible with your lawn, so in four weeks [it] could also look like this.”

Even if you don’t have a green thumb, these tips and tricks will have your lawn looking beautiful in no time.
