The former One Direction singer, 30, shares the six-year-old with ex Cheryl, 40, and both have chosen to keep him out of the public eye.

The model, 22, said she was inspired to write the novel after going through “a period in my life full of pain.”

In the caption of the Instagram post, Maya revealed her inspiration for the novel, explaining that she “never intended” to share the story, but chose to help others “experience similar trauma and hardship.”

She wrote: “2020 has been a dark and scary time for all of us. I was coming out of a period of my life filled with a lot of pain.

‘But I’ve learned that the beauty of pain is that it can inspire something beautiful.
