Lord Alan Sugar is ‘ready to sign a six-figure deal for The Apprentice’, according to a new report.

The 76-year-old entrepreneur, who has been on the show since 2005, is gearing up to celebrate the series’ 20th anniversary.

Bosses are said to be keen to secure Alan until 2026, while there are ‘huge plans’ for subsequent seasons.

A source said The mirror: ‘BBC producers have big plans for the 20th anniversary of The Apprentice.

“It may take another two years, but they are not willing to take any risks and will make a big-money offer that he cannot refuse.”

It comes after the news that Lord Alan is returning for an 18th series of his business tycoon show The Apprentice.

The business mogul is joined by businessman Karren Brady, 54, and winner of the first series of The Apprentice Tim Campbell, 46.

All three business moguls look ready for the boardroom in a new image released ahead of the upcoming season.

Tim, who appeared on the BBC show in 2005, appeared in the final two series of the program after Claude Littner was injured in a cycling accident in 2021.

A total of 18 candidates will compete to win a job with Lord Alan as they take part in challenges in various locations ranging from London to the Scottish Highlands.

You’ll see how they make their own children’s cereal and design a virtual escape room.

The hopefuls will also hop across the channel to Jersey for the classic discount shopping task, and they’ll travel to the Hungarian capital Budapest for a tourism challenge.

In addition, the TV shopping channel task will be discussed again in the new series.
