VEHICLES owned by Madeleine McCann, suspected Christian Brueckner in Portugal when she disappeared there, were taken to Germany and scrapped.

And our exclusive photo shows a white Mercedes Sprinter van, as police said he was inside the Algarve – parked in a creepy wooded area he later bought.

The pedophile took a Mercedes van, a VW station wagon and an Opel Ascona to his home country, our investigation shows.

It was not known exactly when.

Sources say he then regularly visited a scrap yard near his home to dispose of cars and vans.

It was understood that German police were told in 2020 that he was using it when he was first publicly named as a suspect in 2007. disappearance of Madeleinethree, out of one Apartment in the Algarve.

Brueckner He was known to store vehicles in his abandoned box factory in Neuwegersleben.

A source said: “We know he brought some back from Portugal and drove them around for years.

“His white van was known locally. He drove it around with a mattress in the back for when he arranged appointments with women online.

“He told me that he regularly took old vehicles to the scrap yard in Helmstedt, but of course no one thought about that at the time.”

He bought the abandoned factory in the former communist East Germany in 2010 and is believed to have lived there in a trailer.

A police investigation in 2016 revealed disturbing images and videos on memory cards Lidl plastic bag under the corpse of one of his dogs.

Clothing was also found, including swimwear in children’s sizes.

Accusations of rape and child abuse

Multiple sources confirmed that at least two other vehicles returned Portugal of Brueckner.

The owner of the scrap yard, who did not want to be named, told The Sun on Sunday: “German law requires you to keep all data for a minimum of ten years.

“But the thing is, not a single police department came by to ask us anything, which might be surprising.”

German investigators confirmed last night that they were still pursuing vehicles linked to this Brueckner.

Brueckner is in prison Germany for rape and now also on trial for other allegations of rape and child abuse that have emerged as part of the Madeleine research.

He denies any involvement in Madeleine’s disappearance.
