“While I am pleased that Mehak Sharma's loved ones will now be spared the experience of a trial, nothing can bring her back to them.”

Sharma will be sentenced by the same court on April 26.

At the address, officers found Ms Sharma unconscious.

She had suffered catastrophic injuries to her neck with a knife, and despite the best efforts of medics on the scene, she was sadly pronounced dead about 20 minutes later.
