MANCHESTER UNITED breakthrough Omari Forson could leave the club in June when his contract expires.
Forson, 19, is one of United’s most highly rated academy graduates and shone in his first-ever Premier League start against Fulham.
Red Devils manager Erik ten Hag opted not to sign Antony, who he wanted to sign for £85.5m two years ago, even though in-form striker Rasmus Hojlund was injured.
Instead, Ten Hag put his trust in teenager Forson, who started on the right flank at Old Trafford on Saturday.
United lost 2-1 to the Cottagers, but the England Under-20 international left plenty of promise for the future.
According to The AthleticsHowever, there are some major doubts over Forson’s future at Old Trafford as he is yet to agree a new contract.
Despite training with the first team since the summer, the youngster no longer has a place in the senior dressing room and is still substituted for the Under-21s.
This is partly due to a lack of space, but also due to the club’s culture requiring young players to pay their dues, with Kobbie Mainoo only using the first team dressing room a month ago.
However, United have a lot of confidence in Forson and hope that the confidence Ten Hag showed him will convince him to extend his contract, which expires on June 30.
However, there are concerns that his start against Fulham and further opportunities in the future could raise his profile, meaning he could get a better deal elsewhere.

Yet the United boss praised him after his performance at the weekend.
Ten Hag said: “He had some good plays and it was a decent performance, it’s never easy, especially when it’s a slow start.
“He was reliable in his work.”
