MARCUS RASHFORD justified Erik ten Hag's controversial decision to recall him, but it was 18-year-old Kobbie Mainoo who stole the show with a stunning last-gasp performance.

Rashford shook off his embarrassment at the tequila party with an early opener and a crucial role in Rasmus Hojlund doubling Manchester United's lead – before an incredible final half hour in the 4-3 Prem success at Wolves.

The Red Devils' half-time brilliance before the break turned to nerves as Pablo Sarabia slotted home a 70th-minute penalty for Wolves.

United substitute Scott McTominay quickly headed the visitors 3-1 ahead.

But Max Kilman scored an answer from a late corner and Pedro Neto leveled after five minutes in stoppage time.

However, Mainoo then surged ahead to take United up to seventh with a cool clincher.

Meanwhile, it was a big night at the other end for Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane, reunited in central defense in the Prem.

And Andre Onana's performance in goal was also scrutinized.

Ten Hag also had the chance to see how Mainoo and Casemiro performed next to each other in midfield.

This is how United's players scored at Molineux.

Kobbie Mainoo-8

Sealed a thriller with an incredible stoppage time winner. He was well nurtured as part of a fluid United attack and continues to grow in stature.

Casemiro-6

Showed frightening pace and skills, but sometimes rushed his last ball.

Bruno Fernandes-8

Showed great vision from set pieces and produced the decisive corner for United's third goal.

Marcus Rashford-8

Rasmus Hojlund-8

Set up the opening goal for Rashford and claimed the second despite a fight on the line, always looking alert.
