DONNY VAN DE BEEK has been left out of Eintracht Frankfurt's Europa Conference League squad as his loan spell takes a major hit.

The 26-year-old Manchester United midfielder made the switch to the Bundesliga earlier this month as he looks to revive his career.

But he will not feature for Frankfurt in Europe as they have omitted him from their list of players registered for the Europa Conference League.

It comes just a week after he was taken off at half-time following a 1-0 win over Mainz.

He is yet to record a goal or assist in three games for Frankfurt.

Van de Beek has also created only one chance for his teammates since arriving in Germany.

He has 18 months left on his contract at Old Trafford, but he has played just 21 minutes this season. His last appearance as a substitute against Crystal Palace was on 30 September.

He completed a loan to Frankhurt within the first 12 hours of the January transfer window, with the Bundesliga side also having an option to make the deal permanent at the end of the season.

It is believed the fee would be around £9.5 million – with add-ons this could rise to £12 million.

However, the prospect of the in-form German club taking up this option is looking increasingly unlikely as Van de Beek struggles in his new surroundings.
