But popular bargain store Poundland has come up with a great solution that allows its customers to wear such designer fragrances without ruining their bank balance.

Bargain hunters have spotted two new mists in the budget store – and claim they smell like Marc Jacobs.

The Scentlis brand dupes are called Pure Elegance and Bloom Body – both retailing for just £1 for a 100ml bottle Poundland‘s website.

One of those shoppers who bought the fragrances wrote on Facebook: “I got these from Poundland today and I can’t tell you enough how they smell like Marc Jacobs.

“Just a £1 scent that has stayed with me since 12pm.

“They smell absolutely luscious, you can’t go wrong with £1.”

The savvy shopper later revealed that the dupe’s scent lingered for over nine hours.

Commenting on the post, someone said: “I got one today and I love it.”

Another wrote: “Lush aren’t they! I was shocked when I smelled them and couldn’t believe it.”

A third customer said: “They smell wonderful.”

Designer fragrances such as Marc Jacobs can retail for as much as £100 for a 100ml bottle.

‘Get ready to receive loads of compliments’, perfume expert raves about Zara’s Armani dupe with ‘amazing longevity’, and it costs just £xx

But what quality dupes selling for a fraction of that price could prove to be a good deal for savvy shoppers.

Meanwhile, a young woman said she wanted a new perfume but couldn’t justify the price, so she tried Home Bargains dupes.

Beauty fan Emily Megan Mays explained that she picked up two of the chain’s perfume dupes, for just £1.99 each, and was amazed at how good they smelled.

Delighted with her cheap finds at Home Bargains, Emily took to social media and proudly showed off her bargains.

Emily shared her clip online with the caption, “The BEST perfume dupes! Run, don’t walk to Home Bargains.’

Then she said, “Hey guys. So I just went to Thuiskoopjes. I actually just ran in there because it’s next to my gym and I actually put off going to the gym.

“I went there for two things: an energy drink and some garbage bags. And of course I put out a lot of things.”
