Margot Robbie’s body double reveals what it was like on the set of the Barbie movie

A little-known actress has revealed what it was like to act as Margot Robbie’s body double in the upcoming Barbie movie.

Emma Eastwood, 26, who is originally from California but lives in London, acted as a stand-in for the Oscar-nominated actress in the upcoming Greta Gerwig movie.

She had twice auditioned for an extra in the film, but was rejected and had given up all hope when she unexpectedly received a text message from a casting director asking her to also play Margot.

Fortunately, the pair are the same size and color, meaning she can shoot scenes that don’t include the star’s face, or help produce light scenes.

Talking to the New York TimesEmma revealed that she “had her own trailer” and “got the star treatment” on set, which made her feel “really spoiled” at the Warner Brothers studio in London.

But that didn’t mean it wasn’t hard work, as she woke up before dawn to be on set at 6am.

Emma had previously worked in advertisements and music videos, but Barbie is working as a body double for the first time.

One scene she filmed made it into the movie’s trailer — a shot of her walking up a flight of stairs and pretending her feet hurt.

“They didn’t give me any details about what we would do,” she added to NYT.

“There were a few times they said the whole cast would be there and it would be a big day, but they never gave me details of what we were going to do until I was on set.”

Emma would spend hours in hair and makeup, often caked in fake tan to mimic Barbie’s sunkissed look.

She would then stay in her own clothes until just before going on set, to avoid damaging the clothes.

The plot of the highly anticipated movie has been kept secret, with Emma often not knowing what she was filming.

She won’t be able to see the film until it hits theaters next month to find out what other scenes she was seen in.

Once, the actress had to lie face down on the floor for an hour.

“When I got up, I literally felt drunk. I have no idea what that scene was about,” she added.
