Married At First Sight stars revealed: Several cast members turn out to be 'actors', with one begging for 'TV work' before getting the job

Married At First Sight is supposed to be a reality series about ordinary people finding love.

But this year's season has a hidden side: several of the contestants are secretly part-time actors or working in show business.

Daily Mail Australia can reveal that a handful of participants – including fan favorite Lucinda Light and innocent groom Collins Christian – have experience as performers.

Despite claiming to be a 28-year-old executive assistant, Collins has appeared in television commercials.

The MAFS fan turned contestant, who had been trying to appear on the show for several years, appeared in an Ashley and Martin hair loss advert in 2022.

Collins shared the clip on his Instagram and revealed that he had been cast as 'Raja' for a short period.

'Watching the World Cup and seeing your own mug on National TV for the first time…weird but also pretty cool!!' he wrote in his caption.

Earlier this week, Daily Mail Australia revealed that Lucinda's raunchy career as a comedian is in the past.

Just a year ago, Lucinda was working at burlesque establishment Secret Cabaret Society in Byron Bay as 'Madam of the House'.

The celebrant, whose real name is Lucinda Reilly, has been using a pseudonym professionally for five years.

In a resurfaced post on her LinkedIn profile, the bubbly bride made a call to expand her career in television.

“I am looking for great roles as an MC or TV host and would appreciate your support,” she wrote in 2022.

Ben Walters is a tour guide from Newcastle, but he also runs a podcast.

The 39-year-old is the host of Get Lost With A Travel Guide, where he interviews guests about travel tips, tourism and culture.

A seasoned traveler, Ben has 4,823 followers on TikTok and has amassed over 61,200 likes for his engaging content.

His travel videos on YouTube are not limited to one platform and have also been viewed more than 24,350 times.

TV insiders told Daily Mail Australia last year that Ben's journey to the altar on MAFS was not his original destination.

“Ben was tipped as the next bachelor,” a source revealed. “He was convinced he had gotten the part and even canceled several tours and vacations he had planned with friends.”

The plot became even more complicated when Warner Bros. pulled out at the last minute, according to insiders, leaving Ben's reality TV dreams in limbo.

Ben's bride Ellie Dix is ​​a registered nurse from Queensland but had a brief taste of fame before appearing on the reality TV show.

She has appeared in advertisements on the backs of buses and billboards, promoting the cosmetics company where she worked.

MAFS appears to be 32-year-old Lauren Dunn's first TV appearance, but she's no stranger to the spotlight.

Ahead of the debut of season 11, the outspoken bride already had 4,000 Instagram followers on her personal account and is friends with several notable stars such as Kyly Clarke and chef Miguel Maestre.
