Masked Singer UK viewers are convinced Maypole is a member of the HUGE British girl band

Masked Singer UK viewers were convinced on Saturday that Maypole's identity is a member of girl band Little Mix.

Judges Davina McCall, Rita OraMo Gilligan and Jonathan Ross was joined by Lenny Henry on the panel for the final episode as they tried to guess which celebrity was under each costume.

And Maypole took to the stage to sing Rita's hits, leaving viewers at home convinced it was Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards or even ex-member Jesy Nelson.

On X, formerly Twitter, someone wrote: 'Jade from Little Mix'.

While a second said: 'Maypole maybe Perrie from Little Mix??'.

Someone else said: 'So Maypole is actually someone from Little Mix.'

Last month, eagle-eyed fans put together the clues, shared each episode, and believed Maypole was actually Pussycat Doll singer Melody Thornton.

On X, formerly known as Twitter, a fan dissected all the clues in an attempt to prove their theory correct.

They wrote: 'Maypole – Melody Thronton. “Not my first rodeo” she won Masked Singer Australia. 'Manchester, Glasgow, Shanghai' are the locations where she starred in The Bodyguard. 'Since the Year of Orwell' she was born in 1985, which is the title of George Orwell's book.

While a second said: 'Maypole is hands down Melody Thornton from PCD.'

To which someone else adds: 'Maypole 100% Melody Thornton'.

And: 'I say Maypole is Melody Thornton, she was on Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls and she has performed in The Bodyguard in all the cities mentioned.'

While another viewer wrote: 'I know you're all thinking about Jessie J but I hear Melody Thornton and most of the clues match what I know about her.'

She even won the Australian version of the Masked Singer in 2022, disguised as a sparkling mirror ball.

Last week Owl was revealed as none other than ITV icon Lorraine Kelly, 64, and the moment left viewers and judges stunned as the broadcaster removed her huge mask to wild applause from the studio audience.

The panel was joined by Ellie Goulding, but no one guessed that it was in fact Lorraine strutting her stuff on stage.

While host Joel Dommet exclaimed: 'This might be one of the best reveals we've ever had on the show!'.

Unable to wipe the big smile off her face, Lorraine said: “I loved being Owl, I loved every second of it, the show is so joyful.”

And: 'Lorraine Kelly! I am shocked!'.

Someone else wrote: 'You could have guessed me a thousand times but I would never have gotten Lorraine Kelly.'

With another addition: 'No! Another week of being completely wrong! Lorraine Kelly is Owl! I love this show!'.

A fourth typed: 'Lorraine Kelly #maskedsingeruk …didn't see that coming!'.

And a fifth added: 'Lorraine Kelly is Owl wow'.

With a sixth statement: 'That was a shock, I didn't know Lorraine could sing!'.

While someone else commented: 'Owl was Lorraine Kelly?! WHAAAAAT?'.
