Fashion at full speed

People at Milan Fashion Week usually go big with their outfits, often using bold prints or visible logos or a combination of both. This season, both outside and on the catwalks, many have achieved an extraordinary presence by wearing red, the shades of which were abundant in the street scene and were included in the collections of brands such as MM6 Maison Margiela and Jil Sander. The color’s prevalence dates back to ’80s action movies and their plentiful red sports cars.

While seeing red marked much of Milan fashion week, there were other notable moments. This included the Sunnei show, which ended with models wearing patterned overcoats and trousers and spreading out a colorful striped carpet, giving the whole affair the feel of a magic carpet ride. However, the biggest stir wasn’t caused by clothes, but by Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, who surprised many people when he showed up at the Marni show with his wife, Bianca Censori, by his side.
