Commander
Speaking about the video, he said: “The (Russian) opponents have concentrated a lot of resources to hold it.”
He continued, “I think this (mission) will happen history as an exemplary attack, which was carried out with character and constant pressure on the enemy.”
The chilling video combines drone footage with first-person footage of the troops.
After an intense battle that drives Russian soldiers out of their hiding place, you can watch Ukrainian units pick them up one by one as they try to escape.
It was reported online that 22 Russian soldiers had been eliminated and two taken prisoner.
At least one British fighter was injured, according to reports.
WHAT HAPPENED?
The brutal war begins when the troops rush into a Russian trench and are met with a barrage of bullets.
The commentary says that several Russian soldiers were eliminated as soon as the shooting started.
Ukrainian troops fighting alongside the international team came in a convoy of armored military trucks.
They consisted of three units, Alpha, Bravo and Charlie and it was filmed on August 23, 2023.
The trio of units sent one engine through the center of the clearing and two on either side of it.
In the video, loud gunfire can be heard as machine guns on the trucks battle Russian soldiers hiding in the trenches.
An explosion hits one of the armored trucks as they approach the trenches, sending dirt flying into the air.
A video shows a vehicle badly damaged as soldiers climb out.
The fighters continue to jump out in camouflaged gear and take up tactical positions around the Russians as they open fire.
The cries of “push-up” can barely be heard over the bullets as the unit approaches the trenches.
Then a terrifying grenade is launched into the wooded area where the Russians are hiding.
Soon after advancing towards the trench, the eerie sound of drones can be heard buzzing overhead as the soldiers take cover.
Moments later, a cry of “suicide drone” is heard in the video.
The footage cuts to a helmet camera that picks up a Canadian troop group saying, “I've been hit.”
He is then shown covered in dirt and knocked to the ground as an Australian fighter rushes towards him.
The Canadian man visibly shakes and tries to get back up, but is unable to get up as he takes cover.
Another shot shows a Russian fighter spraying the Charlie team with a grenade launcher.
Several explosions throw them to the ground and startle them.
A British force was also hit by a round of machine gun fire and flew backwards through the trench, but he miraculously survives and can be seen crawling around looking for help.
Later in the footage, another suicide drone goes off, leaving a pack named Mossy flat on its back.
An American troop comes to his aid and can be heard saying, “Okay Mossy. I'm going to have to harass you a little so I can get these grenades out of you.”
He takes the grenades from him and continues on his way, fighting more Russian fighters.
At this point the comrades are closing in on clearing the trench, but the commentary admits that the troops are in a “difficult moment” as both flanks approach each other.
Five enemy soldiers take cover in holes in the ground as Ukrainian forces approach from both sides, trying to avoid the potential of friendly fire.
Footage shows two Russian soldiers running through the trees in search of safety.
But with remarkable purpose, one is picked off while the second runs towards a Ukrainian fighter and runs into the trench.
His face can be seen in the video looking startled, confused and shocked before he sprints away.
