A travel vlogger has shared the country they consider the ‘most underrated country in Europe’.

She started the video by saying: ‘This is the most underrated country in Europe. It’s super affordable from the west and I honestly don’t understand why more westerners don’t come here.’

On her TikTok account @haleyandzach_, Haley added: ‘There’s beautiful architecture, monasteries, churches and castles.

‘It’s the birthplace of wine and the food is absolutely delicious, so make sure you do [the city] on your bucket list’.

Users in the comments criticized the vlogger for her apparent lack of geographical knowledge, even though she was right when she referred to Georgia as a European country since it is located in Eurasia.

The official website of the Embassy of Georgia states the following about the country’s geography: ‘Georgia is located in the Eastern European region of the South Caucasus. It has a border with Azerbaijan in the southeast, with Armenia and Turkey in the south, and with Russia in the north.

‘The western part of Georgia borders the Black Sea, which physically connects Georgia to the European Union.’

Other users were shocked to discover that wine originated in Georgia, as they wrote: ‘Birthplace of wine????? haahahahahah God Dionysus came from Georgia??’

Attractions in Tbilisi include the towering Holy Trinity Cathedral and the Bridge of Peace, with local dishes such as Khachapuri – a cheese and egg pizza – proving to be a popular hit with tourists.

During her visit to Georgia, you can also catch Haley trying another of the country’s signature dishes, khinkali, a soup dumpling that is delicately folded to create easy appetizers.

One of the best places to consume these soup dumplings are sakhinkles (khinkali houses) in Pasanauri, a village 80 kilometers north of Tbilisi, where wild mountain herbs accentuate the flavor of the filling.

Khinklis Sakhli is also a popular place among locals in the capital of Tbilisi.
