MS Dhoni was present in Ranchi during the IND vs GER match.

Ranchi: Two-time World Cup-winning captain MS Dhoni was present during the Indian women's semi-final against Germany in the FIH Olympic Qualifiers at the Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda Astro Turf Hockey Stadium in Ranchi on Thursday. In a video shared by Hockey India, Dhoni was honored with a photo frame at the stadium.

However, the Indian team lost 3-4 to Germany on penalties after regular time ended 2-2. India took a 2–1 lead in the shootout but missed several chances to lose. Germany took advantage of this and won 3-2. India restored parity through Lalremsiami. Lisa Nolte scored the winner for Germany.
