Naomi’s surprise announcement comes after she welcomed her first child, a daughter, in May 2021.

She wowed her fans by announcing the birth just weeks after appearing on the New York Fashion Week catwalk with no visible baby bump.

In an interview with British Vogue, Naomi insisted her daughter was not adopted when she first revealed her face.

Speaking to British Vogue last July, as she posed with her daughter for an exclusive cover shoot, the model confirmed, “She’s not adopted — she’s my child.”

Naomi played coy during the new interview, and despite confirmation that her daughter is not adopted, she refused to elaborate on her firstborn.

However, she admitted that very few of her wide circle of friends and relatives knew she was planning on getting older.

She explained, “I can count on one hand the number of people who knew I had her. But she is the greatest blessing I could ever imagine. It’s the best thing I’ve ever done.’

At the time of the birth, she shared a photo of her rocking her daughter and said she had never felt a “greater love.”

She hasn’t disclosed how she welcomed her daughter, but four years ago she credited science with giving her the chance to start a family “whenever she wants,” suggesting she leaned toward using a surrogate.

Naomi offers a first look at her new addition with a photo of her infant daughter, whose name has still not been revealed, writing, “A beautiful little blessing has chosen me to be her mother.

“I am so honored to have this gentle soul in my life, there are no words to describe the lifelong bond I now share with you, my angel. There is no greater love.’

Naomi was last in a relationship with rapper Skepta in 2018, but had an affair with Liam Payne the following year. She has also had high-profile relationships over the years with the likes of Diddy, Robert De Niro, Mike Tyson, and Russian billionaire Vladislav Doronin.

It is believed that she is not currently dating anyone new.

In March, Naomi celebrated Mother’s Day by sharing a slew of rare photos with her daughter.

The model took to Instagram and posted a series of snaps, each with her daughter’s face covered.

HOW DID NAOMI BECOME A MOTHER AT 50?

Naomi has not revealed the manner in which she welcomed her daughter, but rather talked about her many options for starting a family

surrogacy

Some adult mothers choose to have a baby through surrogacy, when someone has a baby for a couple who can’t have a child of their own.

Straight surrogacy uses the surrogate mother’s own eggs to conceive and can take place at home using artificial insemination, using an insemination kit or through a clinic with IUI or IVF where the surrogate mother is a known egg donor.

Surrogacy is legal in the UK, but it is illegal to advertise surrogate mothers. No financial benefit other than reasonable costs may be paid to the surrogate mother.

Naomi previously hinted at surrogacy when she said, “I think about having kids all the time. But now, with the current state of science, I think I can do it whenever I want.’

PREGNANCY

More mothers are waiting until later in life to have children, but pregnancy after age 50 is still quite rare.

A woman’s fertility begins to decline in her early thirties. After age 35, her number of viable eggs begins to decline more rapidly.

However, celebrities have made headlines for having children in their later years, including Janet Jackson who had her son, Eissa Al Mana, at the age of 50.

Naomi said she wanted to welcome a child with a partner, saying, “I do want a father figure.” I think it’s important. This is how I feel today, sitting here talking to you”

She also hinted that she wanted to start a traditional family when she announced, “I want the same things as any other woman: the house, the kids, the lot.”

In another interview she said: ‘I would like to have children. I exclude nothing in life. I love children and always will.’
