Postpone NEET MDS 2024: The plea seeking postponement of the NEET MDS 2024 exam and extension of the closing date of the internship will be heard by the Supreme Court of India on February 21, 2024.

NEET MDS Application Form for the academic year 2024 closes today, February 19. Candidates who have successfully submitted their application payment during the application submission period are allowed to edit their form only from February 22 to February 25, 2024. All information/documents can be changed/corrected during the edit window except name, test city, nationality, mobile number and email address. Information can be edited an unlimited number of times before the window is closed. The most recently submitted information is stored in the administration.

Deficiencies regarding uploaded images (photo, signature, thumb impression) will be communicated to the concerned candidates and the same can be corrected during the last editing window i.e. from March 5 to March 7, 2024. NEET-MDS is an eligibility-cum- ranking examination prescribed as the sole entrance examination for admission to various MDS courses under the Dental Act, 1948 (as amended from time to time). Finding the plea postponement of NEET MDS 2024 exam and an extension of the deadline for the internship will be heard by the Supreme Court of India on February 21, 2024. According to the Livelaw report, in 2023, in a writ petition seeking rescheduling of the NEET MDS 2023 exam, the Telangana High Court (HC) disposed of the matter stating: “Before we bid adieu to the matter, we also make it from the next academic year it is clear that the respondent will take steps to ensure that a uniform completion date is fixed for all candidates who have completed the MBBS/BDS course across the country and that due care is taken to ensure that all students are sufficiently given time to prepare for NEET.”

Medical aspirants have urged the National Examinations Board (NBE), Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to postpone the NEET MDS 2024 to July and extend the internship end date. Despite several requests from students and student associations, NBEMS has scheduled the NEET MDS exam on March 18, while the last date to be eligible to appear for the exam will be March 31, 2024.
